Do you know that April 11-17 is regarded as Black Maternal Health Week? Racial disparities and other factors contribute to the death of many minority women. Non-Hispanic Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander, Black, and American Indian/Alaska Native women are at least two to four times as likely to die from pregnancy-related causes as non-Hispanic white women [1].
