It’s that time again! It’s the month of gratefulness in the U.S.
This is a favorite time in our family’s life because we get to connect and reconnect with many loved ones this season. But for some, Thanksgiving is a difficult holiday. What are some ways you can help make this holiday a happy one for others?
- Reconnect with Loved Ones – Go through your phone lists, contacts, and digital directories to start reconnecting. Reach out to loved ones to let them know that you are thinking about them. This is the perfect time to rekindle relationships and also find out who may be having a difficult time this season.
- Give a Gift – Goods and/or services can be great gifts to show you care. If you cannot physically be with a loved one, consider sending flowers, a gift basket, or a unique gift to a hurting loved one.
- Surprise Visits – Please be mindful of this one. Not everyone loves a surprise visit, so know if this is something your friends and family members would love. If this is the case, bring joy to someone by showing up and being present at the visit.
- Volunteer – During this season, many charitable organizations are looking for volunteers to share, connect, or distribute items for different causes, so donate your time. It would mean a lot to many.
What other points would you add to this list? Please let us know!
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
