If you take the time to think about it, there are plenty of things for us to complain about. The LORD Jesus was not a complainer, so we must learn to break this bad character trait and count our blessings and joys daily.
Joy is one of the attributes of The Holy Spirit. In Galatians 5: 22-23, it says “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” If The Bible mentioned joy as a spiritual gift, then that means it isn’t an emotion that changes according to the circumstance, but should ever be constant in the Christian’s repertoire.
Seek simple, joyful things in life to fill your mind with hope, happiness and healthy perspectives. The more time you spend alone with God, the more you will learn about Him and yourself AND you will learn the things that bring you joy. If it is pleasing to God, then increase it in your life. If joy is in your heart, it will inevitably make its presence known on your face and in all that you do. What things bring you joy? Find ways to share that joy with others.
