We are very excited about something big! The NAD Health Ministries Department has been working on creating an Adventist Association of Health and Wellness Coaching (AAHWC) and soon, you can join!
What is Health and Wellness Coaching? It is a relationship between a certified professional coach and an individual to help the client achieve their health goals. Because this field is still fairly new, there are many organizations that have their own standards, but the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC) is endeavoring to be the main governing body. In light of this growing field and the passion that Adventist Christians have for combining health and faith, talks about creating a coaching association started in 2020 and it became official in October 2021. We have the privilege of being a part of the Charter Membership and the recent meetings have truly been a blessing.
In a few weeks, the AAHWC will open general membership to all Adventists interested or involved in the coaching practice or passionate about health ministries. The goal of the association is to foster training and growth in health ministry, or medical missionary work, by providing on-going support and skills to others.
