This weekend is a busy one. There are two conferences that are taking place almost simultaneously and if you are able to attend both, do it. Here are the details on both:
ARME Bible Camp in New York – July 27 to July 29, 2017.
ARME (pronounced ARM-ME) is a Bible study workshop that was created by Pastor Ivor Myers almost 10 years ago. The ‘bible boot camp’ is especially geared towards arming individuals with bible study and witnessing tools. ARME takes place in different locations across the United States and around the world, but this will be the first time the conference will be held in New York State. This weekend’s meeting will take place at the Mt. Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church from Thursday 7/27 to Saturday 7/29. Unlike other ARMEs, there will be no lodging and meals at this one (except on Sabbath/Saturday, lunch will be served). Initially, the registration cost was $50 per adult, but closer to the start date, that cost was waived, so the whole event is free! To register and to learn more, visit ARME ministries New York Camp. We have attended ARME in the past and it was a great blessing to us. It will help revolutionize how you study The Holy Word.
GYC Atlantic ‘The Only Hope’ in Connecticut – July 28 to July 30, 2017
GYC stands for ‘Generation. Youth. Christ’ and this movement has been in existence since 2002. The youth-initiated-and-run ministry seeks to equip and encourage Seventh-day Adventist young people to live uncompromisingly Christ-centered. Regional affiliate GYC groups run local conferences throughout the year, and this weekend, the GYC Atlantic chapter will have their conference. The theme for this year is “The Only Hope” and will take place at the St. Thomas Seminary in Connecticut. The cost for the conference is $99 and this includes lodging and all meals. To register and to learn more, visit GYC Atlantic. We have also attended multiple GYC conferences and we credit our spiritual revivals to this movement.
If you would like to know more about either ministry and our experiences, feel free to email us at info@thepetersplace.com; we would love to hear from you.
