Work: some love it, some tolerate it, some are looking for it and some hate it.

What is your work ethic like? Are you a hard worker, or do you hardly work? Do you try to ‘cut corners’ when there is a job to be done? Or do you avoid working altogether? Ecclesiastes 9:10 tells us whatever our hands find to do, we should do it with all our might because there is no work in the grave. While we have life, we should be diligent in the jobs and tasks we have to do.
God has placed some of us in positions where we can talk about Him with coworkers and colleagues. According to the policies at your school or workplace, you may be able to freely speak about religious things or you may not be able to. Whatever your situation, you don’t have to “preach” to tell others about God, you can always be kind, thoughtful and a blessing to others around you.
As you work today, remember you are also under construction. You need work done on you! What are you doing to strengthen your character or break your bad habits? Here are two resources we would like to leave you with:
- Character Strengthening Exercises – Positive Psychology’s Character Strength Interventions and Worksheets.
- Breaking Bad Habits – Cleveland Clinic’s How To Break Bad Habits
As you work at work and at school, don’t forget to work on you as well. Have a great day!
