We at The Peters Place would like to wish you and your family God’s continued blessings in 2018. As we venture into this new year, we would like to leave you with a few suggestions for a hopeful 2018:
1. If mentioning 2017 leaves you cringing because the year was a bad one for you, remember and relive the joyful moments of last year, but also remember how you survived through the trials and depressing ones (and possibly learned from them).
2. Resist the temptation to make resolutions that may be difficult to keep because you are trying to encompass the whole year. Instead, seek to make shorter, meaningful goals that have a monthly or weekly deadline. You may do better achieving a goal that has a shorter time span than a longer one.
3. Finally, we encourage you to have family worship everyday (especially if you are not already doing so). For some families, mornings are the best time to get together; for others, evenings are better, but find out what works for your family and stick with it. It does not replace individual devotion time, but it bolsters it.
We hope that your walk with the Lord will be stronger in 2018, and you are looking forward to what the year will bring. God bless you all.
